On 29 December 2024, Government of Jammu and Kashmir has released the holiday calendar for the year 2025 on the official website jkgad.nic.in. The holiday calendar is important for the people of Jammu and Kashmir as it provides details about the dates of holidays for various occasions, such as religious festivals, national events, and local celebrations. Jammu and Kashmir List of Holidays for the Calendar year 2025
J&K Government has released the holiday Calendar for the year 2025 including Provincial Holidays, Local holidays and Restricted holidays.
As per Government Order No.2193-JK(GAD) of 2024, the holidays listed in Annexure-“A” & “B” to this order shall be observed in the Government Offices and educational institutions of the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir during the calendar year 2025.

Government Order No.2194-JK(GAD) of 2024,In exercise of the powers conferred by the explanation of Section 25 of Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 (Central Act 26 of 1881), the Government of Jammu and Kashmir hereby declares the days as indicated in Annexure to this Order to be public holidays during the calendar year, 2025.
